Welcome to the Enterprise Forum of Texas!


The MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas has a new website at http://www.MITEFtexas.org. This website (http://alumweb.mit.edu) will shut down in October of 2012.

Founded in 1978 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc. is a volunteer, non-profit organization. Membership in the Forum is vast with a network of 17 US chapters and 11 international chapters. It continually attracts local executives, business leaders, venture capitalists, industry experts, and service organizations, as well as newly emerging entrepreneurs with business ideas involving technology. Chapter membership is open to everyone. Previous affiliation with MIT is not required.

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas, based in Houston, Texas, was formed in 1984. Our members are leaders in their industries who dedicate their time and talent to define, promote, and manage the Forum activities.


Our mission is to foster successful growth of innovative technology oriented enterprises in the South Texas area by providing access to MIT resources and through services and programs that inform educate and support these business endeavors.

The MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas offers many invaluable services to its members and the community through its events and networking opportunities, and by facilitating access to MIT resources from the Sloan Business School and the many dynamic fields of science and technology available from MIT. The Forum Flagship events have long been a hallmark in the Houston entrepreneurial community. This monthly program focuses on subjects of interest to businesses and it often includes topics relating to corporate case studies, general business strategy, and/or technological trends. Another key service is the New Venture Clinic which provides start-up companies an opportunity to obtain business advice in a low-risk, confidential environment.
