CALENDAR OF UPCOMING CAMIT EVENTS IN THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AREA

Greetings ! Welcome to the Northern California Chapter of CAMIT.

Our near term mission:

To encourage the social, cultural, community and networking interaction amongst the Chinese Alumni of MIT living and/or working in the Northern California area.

Our five year vision:

To raise the chapter's visibility in both the Asian and MIT Alumni communities in Northern California through activities involving Chinese Alumni of MIT.

In order to accomplish these goals, we would like to leverage the incredible local brainpower, networking possibilities of the "Gateway to the East", and the unsurpassed natural beauty within the region.  We plan on organizing activities that vary from seminars focused on doing business in Asia to entrepreneurial panels, social-cultural affairs, to of course family events (for those of us with small children).

Of course, we'll start off small and we need your help in making these events successful!  The most important goal here is to have fun and meet other people.  Since networking is an integral part of living in San Francisco-Silicon Valley region, each of these activities are set up to make it easy to meet others.  Your ideas and your leadership on any future CAMIT events are greatly appreciated in the startup effort of this chapter.

Please email us, Sherman Luk '87 (sluk@alum.mit.edu) and Berni Ai-Kuo '88 (berni@almu.mit.edu) for more information or to help organize one or two activities that you think would especially appeal to the CAMIT community in the region.

Please come back to this webpage to receive periodic updates of the Northern California chapter news and activities.

Your regional chapter directors,

Sherman Luk '87 and Berni Ai-Kuo '88
