AMITA Annual Meeting - Saturday June 7!
The AMITA Annual Meeting will be held Saturday afternoon from 3:30pm - 5:00pm and will feature the newest Ellen Swallow Richards Professor Sara Seager of the Department of Earth and Planetary Science. Her work models extrasolar planet atmospheres and studies the recombination epoch, 300,000 years after the big bang. [Spectrum article]
The slate of officers and Board members for next year will be presented and our annual election will be held. Come meet the AMITA Senior Academic Award Winner, Amanda Lanza, who will receive her degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering on Friday.
We're also looking forward to seeing Lis Drake '58 and Toni Schumann '58, the next President of the Association of Alumni and Alumnae of MIT, as they come back to campus for their 50th Reunion, and receive their red jackets!
