The MIT Club of Washington DC is excited to offer a VIP wine tasting and vineyard tour of Tarara Winery, rated one of the best in Virginia. Located in historic Leesburg, Virginia, this picturesque vineyard spans nearly 475 acres along the tranquil Potomac River.

Whether you are a sophisticated wine connoisseur or a novice, you will enjoy the wine, food, tour, and Course V education on fermentation science.

We coordinated directly with the owners of the winery to ensure a perfectly delightful event. The fun begins with a guided cave tour. Next, we will be treated to a reserve wine tasting with delicious hors d'oeuvres selected to enhance the tasting experience.

DIRECTIONS

The Tarara Winery is located at 13648 Tarara Lane, Leesburg, VA 20176, approximately 45 miles (60 minutes) west of DC. From DC take the GW Parkway to I-495, Virginia.  Take VA-267 West towards Dulles Airport, and Exit #16 Leesburg Pike/VA-7 West. Take US-15 BYPASS NORTH to US-15 NORTH, until VA-662 (Lucketts Road). Continue on VA-662 and turn left onto Tarara Lane.

Meet at 10:30 a.m. at the "Tasting Room" for check-in. Please be on time, as our tour is scheduled to begin promptly at 10:45 a.m. After the tour, we will walk a short distance outside to our private tasting area, so wear walking shoes.

If there is enough interest, we can rent a bus that would pick-up and drop passengers at Ballston Commons in Arlington. The price would be $33 round-trip for a 25-passenger bus. The bus would board at 9:00 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. Please indicate on your registration form whether you would definitely purchase a bus ticket if they become available. If you would, be sure to send in your registration right away, as the sooner we have commitments to fill up a bus, the more likely that one will be available.
