Special MIT Professor Reception and Presentation

We are lucky to have a special engagement coming up in a few weeks, visiting MIT Professor Dava Newman, director of the Technology and Policy Program at MIT, will be in Toronto, and has kindly offered to meet up with club members and give a presentation of her work on astronaut performance, space biomedical research and space policy.

You are invited to our Fall Reception, a chance to meet and speak with Professor Newman, as well as other MIT alumni in the area. The event will be held in the Senior Common Room of Victoria College on the U of T campus, 180 Charles Street West (near Queens Park, just north of College and west of Bay Street). Blue Jays - Red Sox Game, Sunday May 31st

A follow-up to our successful baseball outing last year. Come see the Red Sox play in Toronto, meet fellow MIT alumni, and enjoy all-you-can-eat hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, peanuts and soft drinks. Welcome in summertime on a Sunday afternoon at the Rogers Centre!

January's toast a success

The MIT Club had a good turnout at January's Toast to IAP, with attendance from both familiar faces and new arrivals at our annual event to welcome in the new year. Some of the attendees can be seen in the photo to the right. We may plan a pub night later in the year to extend the tradition of meeting for informal networking and the chance to meet fellow alumni in the area, either for our club or in collaboration with other alumni groups in the area. We hope to see those of you who attended and other new members at some future events. Please contact us if you are interested in helping to plan or run events or run for a club officer position.
