San Diego Alumni News
The MIT Public Service Center (PSC) is soliciting your help to match-make your favorite community-service organizations in San Diego (or beyond!) with its undergraduate or graduate students. Recommended organizations could potentially receive a full-time MIT student intern over the January IAP break and/or the summer period.
Therefore if you know any community organization that could benefit from the help of an MIT student, and at the same time, would provide the student with a good service experience, please contact Alison Hynd. Alison is the Fellowships and Internships Coordinator of the MIT Public Service Center; her contact is: hynd@mit.edu, work tel (617) 258 0691.
Community organizations are often non-profits but could also include other groups that meet the needs of the community such as schools, government offices, clinics, and for-profit social enterprises. The PSC supports students to develop and implement service projects that build capacity for such community organizations. To get a feel for the work the PSC supports, visit the student stories here.
