International Dinner at La Gran Sorpresa
9544 Richmond Avenue #B1
Houston, Texas 77063 (tel. 713-789-7312)

Saturday, June 23, 2001
RSVP by June 20
Social at 6:30 PM
Dinner at 7:00 PM

In April, we went to a Brazilian restaurant.  We continue our Latin American tour by trying another cuisine from the same continent. Our next International Dinner will be at "La Gran Sorpresa", a Colombian restaurant.  La Gran Sorpresa is on Richmond, about a mile East of Beltway 8 West, between Gessner and Fondren.  Some dishes planned for us are Creole Chicken, Creole Steak, Churrasco, and Shrimp in Coconut Sauce. And, if we get adventurous, we may even have Beef Tongue and Grilled Liver.

The cost is $15, which covers food, soft drinks, tax, and tip, with wine and beer extra.  The address is 9544 Richmond Avenue #B1, Houston, Texas 77063 (tel. 713-789-7312). The restaurant is on the north side of Richmond in a strip shopping center, next to the Sahara Bakery. Check the club website for a map.  You can come as early as 6:30 PM for a social half-hour.  Dinner is at 7:00 PM

Please RSVP to me at home at 281-480-3467

or via email, by Wednesday, June 20 (don't "REPLY" to this e-mail - you'll just reach the guy who delivers all of this stuff).  Seating is limited to 25 people, so dues-paid members (& their guests) have priority.  Also, at a dinner recently, we were charged for no-shows, so if you can’t make it, PLEASE CALL ME!  I hope to see you there!

Finally, the International Dinner following this is planned for August.  Further details in a future e-mail and/or newsletter, or check our web site.
