NASA SkyWatch Guide - Shuttle and Space Station Viewing Opportunities The International Space Station is now the 3rd brightest object in the sky. You can use the NASA SkyWatch application to find out when it or the Space Shuttle will be visible with the unaided eye over your location (this is a large applet - approximately 300KB in size - you can enter your latitude and longitude or select from a list of cities from around the world - caution: it takes a while to crunch the numbers, however the applet has a bonus: it will generate a star map with the position of the Station overlaid upon it) Better yet, use the following weblinks for selected US cities - the viewing times are automatically updated and posted at these weblinks:
To find viewing times for any country, go to the NASA SkyWatch page and choose your country from the dropdown list on the left. Click here for a listing of US cities. Ground Track of the International Space Station, and if flying, the Space Shuttle Check out other NASA-related weblinks
