South Texas LEAP
(Leadership in Education Program)
Program Operated by:  LEAP is the MIT Club of South Texas Program that sponsors 1 or 2 local area teachers in the MIT SEPT Program (Science and Engineering Program for Teachers)

 

Houston area middle and high school science teachers

Solicit local teachers to apply each year

Your Club Membership Dues (plus extra donations) allow us to sponsor at least one Houston area teacher to attend the MIT SEPT Program 

UPOP
(Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program)
Program Operated by:  MIT

 

MIT Undergraduate Students

Internships:  Host MIT Undergraduates via 10-12 week summer internships at your organization

Coaching: 
Giving your time to young MIT students can have an enormous impact on their development

Financial assistance

MIT Public Service Center (PSC)Program Operated by:  MIT

As part of MIT's Division of Student Life and Department of Student Life Programs, the main goal of the PSC is to enrich the educational and life experiences of students through leadership and service opportunities

Internships (Community Service Work-Study)

MITE2S, SEED, STEM
Programs Operated by:  MIT

MITE2S (high school juniors from across the nation – conducted during the Summer season)

SEED
(9th and 10th grade students in the Boston/Cambridge area – conducted during academic year)

STEM (Boston or Cambridge public school students entering the 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th grade – conducted during Summer season)

Provide financial donations to MIT that make these programs possible
