B. Morgan 20 Award Presented To
James L. Knoedler '61
The MIT Alumni Association presented the George B. Morgan '20 Award to Jim
Knoedler '61 for his many years of distinguished Educational Council service.
Local alumna Cordelia Price '78, VP MIT Alumni Association, presented the award
to Jim at the May 13, 2008 Club of South Texas Volunteer Recognition event.
Seven MIT Alumni Association award recipients from our Club also attended this
event (see below picture).

The MIT Club
of South Texas announced the establishment of the
Glen V. Dorflinger 46 award at the Clubs 80th
Anniversary Celebration held on March 8, 2007,
and the inaugural award recipient was announced at the April 23, 2007, Martin
Tang event. The award recognizes South Texas MIT alumni/ae
for their exemplary service to the Club and the MIT Club of South Texas is
pleased to announce Joe F. Moore '52 as the first award recipient
!
Joe has been a fundamental
positive force in our Club's history and has served the Club of South Texas and
MIT in many ways over the years. In addition to the many years of support on the
Board of Directors, he served as President from 1970-72. Joe's endless
energy and enthusiasm has helped our Club grow and thrive, and we thank him for
his dedication and service!
