Hello fellow alums,

We don't usually do this, but, since the Flying Karamazov Brothers developed their upcoming show with the MIT Media Lab, we thought it might be a unique opportunity for one of our alums.

Technology Coordinator for Flying Karamazov Brothers' Show -- L'Universe

The Flying Karamazov Brothers are looking for a Technology Coordinator for their new show, L'Universe, that was developed with the MIT Media Lab. The show incorporates sonar tracking of the performers, short and long range RF links, programmable club displays, and interactive computer vision and graphics. The show will premiere at A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) in Seattle in January 2000 and begin touring in May 2000.

The Technology Coordinator will participate in the final integration of hardware and software in preparation for the premiere, be responsible for ongoing support and development of these technologies, and the onstage operation and coordination of the hardware, software, and video images. Required skills include basic electronics debugging and repair, the ability to read and understand C, knowledge of Windows-based software installation and maintenance, and knowledge of Macintosh video imaging systems.

The Karamazovs offer salary, travel, and a challenging work environment. For further information contact Vito Zingarelli, Producing Director, ACT (206-292-7660).
