Welcome to the MIT Club of Palm Beach.

The M.I.T. Alumni Club of the Palm Beaches has its "center of gravity" in West Palm Beach, but covers a large region from Boca Raton all the way north to Vero Beach. This region is often called the "Gold Coast" in the south and the "Treasure Coast" in the north. Just as it covers a large geographical area, it also covers a wide range of M.I.T. alumni. Florida attracts many retired people, but it also attracts young people to its growing economy. Our alumni club therefore serves both retired alumni and more recent graduates.

Letter to the Palm Beach MIT Community

Dear Palm Beach MIT Community,

Our region has undergone an extraordinary period of economic distress, and we have all felt the effects either personally or though our friends, colleagues and family.

While change is never easy, here at the Club we want to remind our alumni family that both the Club as well as the greater MIT alumni community are available as support networks. MIT offers a suite of tools for networking that we urge you to explore. They include:

Institute Career Assistance Network(ICAN), a network for career advice and job searches.

Alumni job postings site, posted exclusively by alumni to alumni.

MIT Careers Office Services for Alumni, including career counseling, campus recruiting, career fairs and workshops.

E-mail lists to connect alumni within a geographic region or interest group.

Locally, the Club is offering several events this season which will feature opportunities to network with fellow alumni.

Visit our website for more details and to register: Events Registration

The Club looks forward to being a support resource as well as a continued source of unique and educational events to the community during this time. We hope you will take advantage of the services provided by both the MIT Alumni Association as well as the Club. If you have any ideas about further networking opportunities please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@mitclub.org.

I sincerely look forward to seeing you at an event.

With kind regards,

John Thomas '50, President
