EWS FROM MIT...
- E-mail Forwarding for Life - If you have not signed up for EFL, please do so; it is a significant convenience for you, your correspondents, the Institute, and the local Club. It reduces the cost of sending out the Club Newsletter from about $0.50 per copy to practically nothing. Since Newsletter expenses are a major part of the club's operating cost, any reduction will give us more flexibility for events. Signing up for EFL will also give you access to the Online Alumni Directory. For more information on EFL go to http://alum.mit.edu/.
- Subscribe to MIT E-News - The MIT News Office has launched "MIT E-News," a monthly update of Institute news, events and research that's available on the Web or delivered directly to a subscriber's e-mail inbox. E-News provides summaries of campus activities and research doings, upcoming events, links to outside news sources for MIT-related stories, etc. The latest issue can be viewed at http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/en/. Subscription instructions are available there.
- The MIT Alumni Travel Program offers exciting travel opportunities. Call them at 1-800-992-6749 or visit their web site at http://alum.mit.edu/lt/travel/.
- The MIT Alumni/ae Association has a toll-free number, 1-800-MIT-1865, that can connect you with any of the alumni offices.
f you want to learn more about MIT, visit the MIT home page. While there, visit the MIT laboratories and discover the exciting research going on. Prospective students should visit the Admissions Office page. Alums should explore the resources on the MIT Alumni/ae Association pages. On the lighter side, discover some of the pranks pulled by MIT students at The MIT Hack Gallery (including the wonderful April Fool's hack of the MIT's home page, Disney Buys MIT!)
