Please join us for MITCSC's Annual Meeting and Brunch on Saturday, July 18th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Skirball Cultural Center, a distinctive architectural venue nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains.
This year's keynote speaker is Peter H. Diamandis, M.D. '83 SM '88, an international leader in the commercial space arena. Dr. Diamandis has founded and run numerous leading organizations in this sector including:
* X PRIZE Foundation, awarded the $10,000,000 Ansari X PRIZE and has a mission to bring about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.
* Zero Gravity Corporation, a commercial space company developing private, FAA-certified parabolic flight utilizing Boeing 727-200 aircraft.
* Space Adventures, the company which brokered the launches of four private citizens to the International Space Station.
* International Space University
* Rocket Racing League
In concert with recent events MITCSC has hosted fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in business, technology, and science - Dr. Diamandis will be sharing his experiences, vision and passion for founding and running space-related companies and organizations. Among other topics, he will discuss and answer questions on how to get involved, and even compete, for the 10 to 30 million dollar awards offered through the X Prize Foundation. After the meeting is adjourned, attendees will have a chance to personally meet and speak with Dr. Diamandis.
This inspirational event is a unique opportunity to learn from a successful serial entrepreneur and to reconnect with your fellow local MIT alumni.
