Message from the President
Dear MIT Alumni in Minnesota,
Welcome to the MIT Club of MN. As we know, the Club is a volunteer organization held afloat by our local alumni donating their time generously, event coordinators' selfless dedication to their events, help from the MIT Alumni Association for coordinating faculty speaker events, and the financial support from our paying membership. We could not continue as a club without each and every alum who reads a newsletter, attends an event, joins the club, and volunteers to help out. I am in constant awe at the energy you all have and the amazing things we have been able to do in the past years.
The new '09-'10 Board of Directors and Executive Committee met in August for our annual strategy/training session. I cannot tell you how excited I am for the opportunity to work with such a talented group of MIT alums, full of new ideas and energy to kick off the year. We have plenty of events coming up, MIT speaker opportunities, and much more. We have endless lists of ideas, and strategic plans to carry them out. All I can say is that this volunteer-only board is going to knock your socks off.
I encourage you all to come experience our wonderful events, whether it be a monthly social gathering or a signature event, tour of a facility or community service event. Join the club for discounted tickets and early notification of limited events, and help support the club function!
See you at the next event,
Becca Luger-Guillaume
