Educational Counselors: (1) interview MIT-selected applicants for undergraduate admissions and (2) provide information regarding undergraduate admissions. Interviews though optional, are strongly recommended as they can help prospects of admission. Any intending applicant should please refer first to the MIT website at www.mit.edu as the information there is very comprehensive. We urge intending applicants to start preparing for undergraduate admission application 2-3 years ahead of time; eg by being active in extra-curricular activities, community service and leadership positions, as strong all-round candidates are more likely to be successful.
