Have you ever thought of how you can make the most of your MIT identity? Would you like to stay connected with your alma mater, even though you are thousands of miles away from the campus? Do you relish your days back when you were a member of the MIT community, and wish that you were somehow still part of it? Now you can continue your MIT experience by joining the MIT Club of Hong Kong.
In the past years, our Club organized a variety of exciting events, including:
Lunch and dinner gatherings with guests from the MIT faculty and the Alumni Association, as well as distinguished alumni from around the world, including President Hockfield and Professor Negroponte of Media Lab to name a few.
- Social events, like happy hour get-togethers
- Sports and outdoor activities, such as the annual MIT Club Sports Day, badminton matches, boat cruises and barbeque parties
- Special seasonal events, like Thanksgiving gathering
- Inter-club activities co-hosted with local alumni clubs of other Ivy League universities
These are, of course, just a sampling of some of the activities organized by the Club. To get the full taste of it, you are welcome to join us as a member.
Once you have become a member of the Club, you can:
- Receive news of our Club, including upcoming activities and new benefits
- Get discount rates and first priority at our events
- Hear first-hand from MIT faculty and Alumni Association news from the Campus
- Keep in touch with the local and international MIT community
Don't miss out on the above benefits and the chance to make new friends and rekindle old friendship. Our annual club due is HK$200 (US$ 26.00 thru Smartrans) per member with fiscal year last from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008. You can either pay through Smartrans or send a check payable to "MIT Club of Hong Kong" with the attached application form to MIT Club of Hong Kong, GPO Box 12315, Hong Kong. For those who have joined as members during the AGM or those who have sent us check after July 1, 2007, you can ignore this message as you are already our precious members .
If you are not satisfied with merely participating in our activities but would like to be an organizer or helper, you are most welcome to sign up as a club volunteer. Please check the corresponding box on the enclosed application form to indicate that you would like to volunteer. Our Club officers will contact you on how you can help. Your support will definitely make our Club even more successful.
