Objectives of the MIT Club of Germany

The MIT Club of Germany aims to bring MIT alumni/ae and friends of MIT
living throughout Germany closer together for friendship, profession, cooperation,
and business.

Event Announcement: Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting 2014/2015:
The program includes the General Assembly, a Symposium on Biotechnology in Berlin and Boston, a visit to a high-tech company, cultural activities, opportunities for extended networking.
Date: June 19 to 21, 2015.
Location: Berlin, Germany.
Keynote address of the Symposium: Dr. Guenther Stock,
President of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Club members, MIT alumni in Europe, alumni and friends from related universities as well as interested friends are cordially invited for the exciting program, discussions, and networking.
The General Assembly is open for all club members.

Event postponed: Future Science and Technology Policy in Hamburg

This event had to be postponed and is expected to take place later this year.
Instead, our board member Stefan Weissflog took over and gave an in-depth presentation on the SMW conference 2014 held in Erfurt.

Last Event held: School With Science

We proudly announce the launch of a new event series:
School With("MIT") Science -- SMW -- Schule MIT Wissenschaft.
This first event is a concerted effort of the MIT Club of Germany in close cooperation with German non-profit partners and sponsors.
The event format is particularly tailored to dedicated secondary school teachers in Germany.
For this year, we were extremely happy to have Nobel Laureate Professor Robert Huber and two Professors from MIT, Oliver Jagoutz and Thomas Schwartz, as speakers with us.
Date: November 7 - 9, 2014.
Location: Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany.

Joint event of the Harvard-MIT-LUH Alumni Academy:
Innovations in Refugee Protection.
Speaker: Dr. phil. Luise Druke.
Took place: July 8, 2014.
