Volunteering

The Club depends on the efforts of its enthusiastic, creative volunteers to help keep local alumni connected to each other and to MIT by conducting a variety of periodic programs and events for the local MIT community. The Club also depends on others who have special knowledge of, or connections to, people or places that interest alumni. If you live, work, know of, or volunteer somewhere that you find fascinating and think that other alumni would similarly be interested in, please share your thoughts with Connie Sadowski Dinning, VP Programs, at connies@alum.mit.edu. Even better, consider helping with organizing an event around your ideas. It's easier than you may think, and the Club and Connie can show you how to turn your idea into an event that other alumni will appreciate and remember.

If you're interested in suggesting ideas, assisting with Club events or volunteering to help the Club in any other way (for example, membership, communications, website), consider sitting in on one of the regular meetings of the MIT Club of Chicago board. You can meet the current volunteers, see how we operate and consider whether you'd like be part of the team. Just check out the Events page to see when the next board meeting is and register.

Nominate our volunteers for the MIT Volunteer Honor Roll of Service. For details and to access the nomination form, go to: Volunteer Honor Roll of Service.
