We are the MIT Club of Chicago, a dynamic and energetic team of MIT alumni/ae based in the Midwest. Our purpose is to enhance the value of the MIT degree.
We are your gateway to fun activities, social interaction, entrepreneurship, career development and professional networking. We are a great resource thanks to our affiliation with various groups in the Chicagoland area.
The Club serves as a community that fosters association and interaction with other alumni and alumnae.
The Club serves as a means of keeping informed of the changes happening at MIT as it continually evolves to remain pre-eminent among engineering and business schools.
The Club provides a continuing education by bringing professors to us to speak on the cutting edge of topics relevant to us personally or professionally.

Prof. Dava Newman to Present Kickoff Event for the 2009-2010 Year
As humankind sets its sights on Mars, MIT Professor Dava Newman SM '89, PhD '92 is designing the spacesuit that will help get us there. Discover the science behind the spacesuit of the future and how the research on the bodyıs reaction to conditions in space can potentially translate into new devices to help aid human locomotion on earth.
