The Clock
is here! At 6pm on Friday, September 27, 2002, the ticking began,
as the Class of 2000 gift began life to an exciting
dedication ceremony led by C2000 President Anna Benefiel
and Class Agent Bhuvana Husain outside the Stratton Student
Center. Joining the festivities were members of the Alumni Association,
CAC, Class of 2000 Executive Committee, and many others interested
in the gift and/or time.

All future donations to our class project will be directed to the
Class of 2000 Student Activities Fund, which was established
to support the incredible variety of student activities on campus.
We had asked all of you to make a five-year pledge during your senior
year, beginning with a gift before graduation. Seniors who accepted
the Fibonacci challenge pledged to make gifts of $10, $10, $20,
$30, and $50 to MIT over the few years after graduation. During
our senior year, Brian Hughes '77 promised to match our contributions
at a rate that depended on our participation.
We all had different experiences during our time at the Institute.
We want your donation to be as important to you as it is to MIT.
When making your pledge, you can support whatever part of MIT is
most important to you. If possible, please support our Class of
2000 Activities Fund, and make sure to stay tuned for our Class
of 2000 Clock Project's completion.
