Hi everyone!

Vadim Khayms and his wife Alina are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Isabel on November 3, 2007. Vadim lives in Sunnyvale, CA, and continues to work at Lockheed Martin on various satellite programs. Andrew Q. Kraft married Rhonda Wynston on August 11, 2007, at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. The ceremony was performed by a celebrant and their combined four children. Nobody else from MIT attended because it was immediate family only. Stephanie Shaw has recently joined Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) as an air quality project manager.

John and Amy (Singer) Guzek welcomed their first child, John Stephen Guzek III (“Jack”) on December 12, 2007, in Scottsdale, AZ (see image below). Baby Jack is doing well, and already has some MIT gear thanks to Sandy Joung. John still works for Intel in Chandler as a technology development manager, and travels to Japan , Korea and Taiwan fairly regularly. Amy left the engineering world several years ago and is currently in her final year of medical school at University of Arizona. She is taking six months off to be home with Jack, and will finish her electives and apply to residency in the fall. Chalee Asavathiratham and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Varit Asavathiratham, in November. Although tired, they are now overjoyed at seeing the baby’s first smiles.

John Stephen Guzek III (aka Jack)

Manoj “Bobby” Wunnava, his wife Niha, and almost 2 year-old Elina are doing well. By the time of this printing, Wunnava baby number two may already be born (due May 24th). They want to be surprised again so they are not finding out the sex of the baby. Manoj will finish residency in anesthesiology in June 2008 and they will be moving to Chicago for a one-year fellowship in pain medicine at Rush University. After that, the family plans to head back to the Southeast.

Jennifer Glos and Manish Tuteja ‘93 welcomed their son, Kashi, in July 2007. They love parenthood and can not believe how fast he is growing! They moved back to the San Francisco bay area in January 2008, and "Fighting for Life," the feature documentary on military medicine that Jennifer co-produced was released in limited theaters in March 2008. To see if the film is playing near you, visit: www.fightingforlifethemovie.com.

And James Choung has written his first books! They are a book and a booklet, titled True Story and Based on a True Story collectively. They were released in April with InterVarsity Press are available from Amazon.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted updates over the past few months. Please remember that you can submit updates and photos any time throughout the year to be posted on our class website, http://alumweb.mit.edu/classes/1995/.
