November/December 2006 Greetings everyone! Our classmates continue to maintain busy and exciting lives… Let’s hear what they have been up to… Erika Schutte decided she needed a change just two weeks shy of her 10th anniversary at Analog Devices Micro-machined Products Division in Cambridge, so she took a job with Skyworks Solutions in Newbury Park, CA. She is hoping to buy her first condo and get some sun. Tracy (Back) Embree and her family just moved to the United Kingdom for her job as the General Manager of the Genset Business for the Energy Solutions team for Cummins Inc. Embree will be located just outside Canterbury for about two years. Her son, Carson, just turned one and is certainly keeping her and her husband on their toes. Victor Holmes finally left “school” and got his first real job. He is now an environmental scientist for Aquifer Solutions, Inc. in Berkeley, CA. The company focuses on cleaning up underground toxic chemicals and Holmes’ experience with biological cleanup should fit right in. Amy Koo and Don Long were married on July 15, 2006 at the Stanford Memorial Church and had a raucous wedding banquet at Gold Mountain Restaurant in San Francisco's Chinatown. They relaxed for a few days at Avila Beach, CA, but the real honeymoon they’re looking forward to is a trip to New Zealand at the end of the year! Ron Phelan married Masmin Ali twice this year; once in April in Masmin’s home country of Malaysia and once in June in Boston. The two met while they were business school classmates at Cornell from 1999 to 2001. Dan Stine ‘94 was Ron’s best man at both events. Other MIT grads at the Boston event were Travis Carpenter, Jaie Pizzetti ‘00, Steve “Snappy” Spence ‘96, Willy Wei Zhou and Lee Zamir; as well as, Matthias “Squiggy” Siebler ‘94, Eric Boyd ‘96, Anthony Rocco Nole ‘96, Brian White Eagle ‘97, Bart Hendriks ‘03, James Sarvis ’93, Stacy McGeever ‘94 and Mike Jones ‘92. Ron and Masmin moved back to the Boston area and now live in Cambridge, MA, where Ron recently started a new job in marketing at Bose. Lastly, Manoj “Bobby” Wunnava and his wife Niha had a beautiful baby girl named Elina Sairenu Wunnava in Atlanta, GA, on June 2, 2006. She is doing well. Manoj also reports that he has been in touch with Jennifer Brady, Abiyu Diro ‘97 and Tresa Vidayathil, and they are well in the DC area. He also recently saw Jeff Gonzalez when he visited Atlanta, and he is doing well in Miami. Morgan Slade is currently living in Fort Worth, TX, with his wife Aimee and 3 year old daughter Skye. He often sees many old MIT friends through his business travels. He is having a blast as Head of the Proprietary, Principal and Agency Trading Groups for Pensar Worldwide. He can be reached at slade@alum.mit.edu. Thank you to everyone who has submitted updates over the past few months. Please remember that you can submit updates and photos any time throughout the year to be posted on our class website, http://alumweb.mit.edu/classes/1995/. —Jennifer (Tschudy) Carlstrom,
