Give now at http://web.mit.edu/giving/givenow/ As you may recall, the class officers, in cooperation with MIT and Alpha Phi, have established a memorial fund in honor of Lizette Arcé-Doshi '95, which will endow a scholarship to go to disadvantaged women attending MIT who exhibit the qualities of leadership and service. Lizette Arcé-Doshi '95, our classmate and an Alpha Phi, was an individual who embodied the spirit of leadership and altruism. She loved MIT and worked hard to support both the school and the people who went there. What you may not know is that Lizette gave towards scholarships for MIT students every year since she graduated. Lizette understood and accepted her responsibility to contribute to her community. She did her part to make sure that disadvantaged students had the same opportunity you and I had to learn at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. Make your gift online at http://web.mit.edu/giving/ or contact Heather Kispert (hkispert@mit.edu or 617-452-3375) in the Alumni Association office if you have any further questions. Please join with your classmates in giving to this worthy cause so that Lizette may be remembered as a role model for emerging leaders.

Friends and family of the late Lizette Arce-Doshi '95 gathered at the Alpha Phi sorority house on September 14, 2002 to dedicate a tree and plaque in honor of establishment of the Class of 1995 Lizette Arce-Doshi '95 Memorial Fund and in recognition of Lizette's life. This fund will endow a scholarship to go to disadvantaged women attending MIT who exhibit the qualities of leadership and service. We hope that this scholarship will inspire a young woman to follow in Lizette's footsteps and make a difference in the lives of MIT students and community. Lizette Arce-Doshi '95, our classmate and an Alpha Phi, was an individual who embodied the spirit of leadership and altruism. She loved MIT and worked hard to support both the school and the people who went there. In fact, as a senior she received the William L. Stewart Award (given to students for outstanding contributions to extracurricular activities and events) for her work in bringing the national LeaderShape Program to MIT in 1995. Alpha Phi and Delta Tau Delta alumni, members of the Class of 1995, as well as friends from the MIT community attended the ceremony. MIT's chaplain, Father Paul Reynolds offered words of reflection and Prashant Arce-Doshi '95 shared loving thoughts of his beloved wife, Lizette. Several classmates also shared their thoughts and prayers. The service concluded with the tea ceremony hosted by the Alpha Phi's and organized by Jackie Henke '97. If you would like to learn more about how to contribute the Class of 1995 Lizette Arce-Doshi Memorial Fund, please contact Cyndi Chomka at 617-252-1491 or by e-mail at cchomka@mit.edu.
