Welcome to the Class of 1977!

It time to plan vacations in Boston again! We've been working hard on planning a great weekend party with a New England Clambake under the Dome (Barker Library), a trip into Boston for a Chinese feast, MIT tours just for us and special activities for Saturday afternoon that will bring back the true meaning of MIT.

You can help make this the best reunion ever by calling two old friends and telling why you're coming and perhaps to contribute ideas to the Saturday afternoon activity - touring barbershop poles, collecting donuts, something . . .

Reunion Memories

Balloon Toss At Tech Games Apparently the poetry from our last reunion was not thought worthy of immortalization. The link died. Instead I've put up a collage of the balloon toss pictures. There's a reason I'm a Chem E major & not an artist. Call a friend to come to the reunion & I'll email you an original of your choice of photos.

35th Reunion Gift Campaign

Our 35th Reunion Gift Committee is kicking in to high gear -

Here's a message from
Tom Gooch
35th Reunion Gift Chair

I have encouraging news about progress in the Class of 1977 35th Reunion Gift Campaign!

So far, 28% of our class?237 class members?have made a gift to MIT this year. But we set our sights high, and our goal is to reach a minimum of 45% participation for our reunion year. To do that, 144 more classmates must lend a helping hand. You can make a difference right now. Please make your gift today! http://giving.mit.edu/

Don?t forget that this year, we encourage you to support the Class of 1977 Student Aid Fund or the new Class of 1977 Public Service Center Fund. The many generous gifts to our scholarship fund have provided scholarships to 34 students since the fund's inception. But we continue to build support, with the belief that keeping an MIT education accessible to the best and brightest is a way we as a class can make a difference. And this year, we've introduced a new way to make a difference, by supporting the work of students who participate in important public service initiatives in the U.S. and abroad. Through your gift today, you offer opportunities to students at MIT right now as well as in generations to come!

No matter how much you give or what you choose to support, your contribution will favorably impact students, faculty, and programs at MIT. And remember?MIT is making a difference in the world, addressing some of our most vexing challenges, from finding reliable energy resources to finding a cure for cancer to producing potable water in a world where there simply isn?t enough of it.

When you give to MIT, you open a door of opportunity for a student following your footsteps through the Infinite Corridor, and you support innovation that can make our world a better place. You?ll also help our class be very proud to say we came together as a group to present this impressive gift to our alma mater!
We?re counting on your help to make sure the proverbial glass is full when our campaign concludes in June! Help us get the rest of the way!

Earlier Site

The Institute updated the class websites. Barbara had developed a really nice site for our class which you can still look at.
