• Thursday, June 4, 1998:
• celebrity conductor Keith Lockhart conducted Tech Night at the Pops wired in a controversial performance that generated mixed reviews.
• Friday, June 5, 1998:
• President Clinton was the Commencement speaker this year.  This means that the Secret Service closed off major portions of the campus while he was here.

  Morning tour buses left from McCormick Hall earlier than scheduled.

• MIT Association tours("Big Dig" sold out quickly)

Boston Duck Tours reserved one Class of '63 Duck with seating for 32 passengers for 10:00 AM on Friday, June 5.  MIT provided a bus for those going which left campus at 8:30 AM, one hour earlier than originally scheduled, and returned at 12:00 noon.
Due to the Secret Service presence on campus, we had to change the departure for the class of 1963 Duck Tour from 9 AM to 8:30 AM. We had an extra hour to explore the shops at the Prudential Center.
Boston Duck Tours: We were hosted by Captain Cookie. Quack! Quack!
Box Lunches were convenient for those who chose them.
• a formal dinner at Stonehurst in Waltham, one of the last surviving houses by renowned Victorian architect H.H. Richardson.  We were able to stroll the spacious grounds at sunset and enjoy a sumptuous buffet, but the emphasis was on conversation.

  MIT provided transportation to and from Stonehurst. The Class elections were held. The new class officers are shown on the Class Officers webpage.

• Saturday, June 6, 1998:
• Technology Day/Class Gift, Tech Day Luncheon:
• The Class of 1968 issued a Class Reunion Crew Challenge. It took place Saturday, afternoon June 6, 1998 at the boathouse. Jack Lynch assembled a full crew for the Reunion Row:

• the mood lightened as we danced the night away in the Pritchett Room at Walker Memorial. Our classmate Jack Lynch engaged a fantastic band, "Jump Crew", with Lee West, to keep us entertained with rock 'n' roll of the 1950's and 60's; they had recorded music for breaks. Dancing was in Pritchett, and the buffet dinner and beer tasting was set up in the Blue Room. Jack and his partner also gave dancing lessons. (I understand they were featured in a Boston Globe article)

Note: There was a problem in the publicity for this event; some classmates thought this was just a dance and went elsewhere for dinner first.

• Sunday, June 7, 1998:
• Faculty Club for Sunday breakfast. Bruce Eisenstein reminded IEEE members to vote for him for President-Elect of the IEEE. Most people said goodbyes here delaying our arrival at:
• Tech Challenge Games: Red bandanas, masquerading as the class on 1993.
• "Techsas" BBQ  Techsas BBQ.
