MIT Class of 1963 Class Notes

December, 1997

(Web Posted December 21, 1997)

Kenneth Klein, XVI, emailed an update: 1997 has been a very busy year for me.  I began 97 with a new position as project manager for Columbine/JDS, Inc. in Golden Colorado, responsible for the design and delivery of TVWorks, a computer system for television sales.  I was commuting from Atanta to Golden every two weeks at the beginning of the job since my home was for sale in Atlanta.  The home sold in July and my household goods went to Colorado and were placed in storage.  I worked for CJDS for 9 months.  In September, I was offered a job I could not refuse, to work at Univision in Los Angeles.  So, without ever having set up permanent living in Golden, I moved from Colorado to Los Angeles in September.  The drive was spectacular.  I now live in a condominium in Playa Del Rey, CA and it is great.  The position that I hold with Univision Television Group is Assistant Director of Systems, Procedures and Sales Service.  UTG owns 12 spanish language TV stations around the country and we support the stations from our offices in LA.  My daughter, Shawna, lives with her mother in Atlanta and is coming out to visit me for Christmas.  I am in contact with several MIT alumni in the California area and I am interested in meeting others here as well.
