2009 REUNION DATES:

We celebrated at MIT from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 7,
then at Wentworth by the Sea from Sunday June 7 to Tuesday June 9.

Reunion Highlights Seen in Photos

Thursday, June 4: Tech Night at the Pops. Started the evening re-connecting with old friends at a private gourmet buffet in Symphony Hall's Higgenson Room. MIT bought out Symphony Hall and our class got tables at Pops with the best views of rising dramatic star Bob Muh!

Friday morning, June 5: We suited up in our red blazers, gathered for breakfast, and marched in the MIT Commencement Procession. We enjoyed a post-commencement luncheon with a Class meeting and the presentation of the Class survey results.

Friday afternoon, June 5: We got to see some remarkable architecture with tours of the MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences Center and the Boston Institute of Contemporary Art on the South Boston waterfront.

Friday evening, June 5: We strolled over to Anthony's Pier 4 for a traditional New England lobster/clambake and a special program by classmate Patrick McGovern introducing the remarkable Brain Institute that he and Lore founded.

Saturday, June 6: We learned about fun new MIT research during Technology Day. We celebrated our record Class Gift at the Technology Day Luncheon. We joined MIT President Hockfield at a private 50th class reception at the elegant Gray House on Memorial Drive, and capped the evening with a Gala Dinner dance (including songs by Logarythms Alumni and Ballroom dancing by Alfredo Kniazzeh and friends) at the Hyatt Ballroom.

Sunday, June 7: Started our day rooting for our speedy Class of '59 Reunion oarsmen followed by a great farewell brunch at the Hyatt. Then, to extend the reunion fun and fellowship, we took a scenic drive to beautiful Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle NH. We gathered for a light evening buffet reception at the hotel followed by socializing and a great magic show by Oliver Filippi.

Monday, June 8 : We joined classmates for leisurely excursions, shopping, lunch in the historic Portsmouth area, tennis, golf, relaxing by the sea in quaint New Castle, a great trolley tour of the area and a relaxing boat tour circumnavigating New Castle Island and historic Portsmouth Harbor. We then enjoyed a memorable dinner in Wentworth's elegant dining room.

Tuesday, June 9 : We enjoyed a final farewell brunch overlooking the rainy New Hampshire seacoast.
