1997-1998
I am pleased
to write with news that last year’s recipients of funding from the
Class of 1933 Scholarship have been renewed for the 1997-98 academic year.
We are pleased to be able to continue support for both of these excellent
students.
Timocin
Pervane, now a senior, is planning to attend graduate school
next year and then go into management consulting. He is still playing
soccer, and also enjoys mountain biking and tennis. Work in the Residence
and Campus Activities office takes up a lot of his free time, but he continues
to be an active member of both the Turkish Students' Association and the
Muslim Students' Association.
Jennifer
Espinsosa, also a senior, is definitely planning for graduate
work. Her interest in forensic sciences is stronger than ever, and she
is an active member of Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity.
In addition, she has kept up her work at a pharmaceutical company doing
research on Alzheimer's disease.
Without
the support of your classmates, MIT could not maintain its commitment
to admitting the best and brightest students, regardless of need. On behalf
of the Alumni/ae Association and the Institute, many, many thanks for
your contributions to this fund.
