2002-2003
I am delighted
to report the Class of 1933 Kimball Scholarship Fund awardees for 2002/2003.
Itty Samuel ’04, of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Rajini Haraksingh
’05, of St. Augustine, Trinidad will continue as class scholars
this year.
Itty
Samuel ’04, who is majoring in both computer science and
engineering, is involved with the campus crusade for Christ, city days,
the India Pentacostal Assembly Church, and South Asian American Society.
During the term, Itty works as a clerk at the science library, and has
a job with the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program working under
the guidance of Professor Andrew Lippman with networks and media. He plans
a future in computer science and engineering or programming
Rajini
Haraksingh ’05, who is majoring in biology, is a member
of the musical theater guild, and MIT’s dance troupe. Her interests
include music and traveling. Rajini plans a career doing research in biology,
chemistry, or mathematics.
As you know,
support from the Class of 1933 helps MIT maintain its commitment to admitting
the best and brightest, regardless of need. On behalf of the Alumni Association
and the Institute, I send sincere thanks for the Class of 1933’s
contributions to this fund.
